We've been made aware of a suspicious phone call.

A patient reported receiving a phone call with an automated message claiming to be from their GP practice. The message instructed the patient to go online to update their personal details, threatening removal from the practice list if they failed to comply.

Please be cautious!:

• Do NOT provide any personal information over the phone.
• Genuine requests from your GP will never come through unsolicited automated calls.
• If you ever receive a similar call, hang up and contact your GP directly using their official number or website.
• Any similar calls should be reported to Police Scotland by calling 101.
